Mänty

Mänty collection
The Mänty (pine tree in Finnish) is the root of Finnish culture and identity. It is part of the folklore that connects us to nature and the past. Its roots deep in the barren land reflect durability, perseverance and adaptability. The Mänty is not just a tree, it is a living symbol of culture, stories and traditions, and lives in the hearts of the Nordic people.
In Finnish folklore, the pine tree is often associated with the cycle of life and death. It grows in hard, barren land and withstands the cold of the north, but at the same time it reflects the continuity of life: even though the environment changes, the pine tree remains. Its roots deep in the ground make it strong and stable, and it lives a long life, just like the traditions and values of the Finns.
By wearing Mänty jewelry, you are rooting yourself deep into your roots. As the wearer of Mänty jewelry, you carry within you a strength that cannot be shaken. The pine trees of Saraakallio in Laukaa stand as a stable and empowering reminder that we all have our place in this world – roots that hold us up and strength that drives us forward.

Sarâa

Sarâa collection
Saraakallio is one of Finland’s most significant prehistoric rock art sites, with roots reaching back thousands of years to the region’s earliest settlements and cultural history. The cliff paintings found in the area — created more than 5,000 years before the Common Era — whisper silent stories of people, nature, and a time when the bond with the natural world was woven into everyday life.
Amid this remarkable landscape lives the story of Sarâ — a symbolic figure who embodies the region’s cultural memory and its connection to the past. Sarâ is not a historical person, but a personification of nature and tradition. Her name may stem from the marshland vegetation and the surrounding environment, emphasizing her deep connection to the land.
The Sarâ jewelry piece is a tribute to this rich cultural heritage. It stands as a symbol of courage, vitality, and our connection to nature and those who came before us. It is said that wearing the piece carries with it a sense of communal protection, life force, and serves as a guide for those on their journey.

Pohjolan
kruunu

Pohjolan kruunu collection
Pohjolan Kruunu (The Nordic Crown) is not for rulers, but for those who listen to their inner guidance and proudly walk their own path.
It is said that when the world was born, the north was born last – not because it was forgotten, but because it was wanted to be saved for last, when the most beautiful part of the soul was cast from ice, stone and silence.
In the silence of the north, under the fells and the northern lights, the reindeer roams, its antlers in many directions.
The Pohjolan kruunu jewel is inspired by the fallen antlers of a young reindeer. Horns are symbols of strength, growth, and renewal, as they are renewed annually. They reflect the connection to heaven and earth.
This piece of jewelry is worn as a reminder that true strength is found within – direction is not always visible, but it is found intuitively.

Tellers of silent stories.

Behind Vuonelo is a trio united by a desire to shape silent stories.
Tommi, Eija and Joona approach jewelry as a story – something that unfolds with emotion. In their work, they draw from Finnish nature, the layered nature of cultures and the deep meaning of form. Vuonelo is their common language – a little part of you, a little part of your roots.

Tommi Soidinmäki
Jewelry Designer
Tommi is a performing artist and designer who has walked a long and multifaceted path at the heart of expression. His story began on stage – through singing, theatre, and music – and gained wide recognition with the crown of Tango King. Over the years, Tommi’s expression has expanded into quieter, yet equally meaningful forms: jewelry, clothing, and tangible aesthetics. His jewelry collections have found their way into the hearts of many Finns, becoming bestsellers and proving that form can move people just as deeply as melody. Tommi has also been involved in founding an international brand in the field of sports and safety apparel. At Vuonelo, he brings an intuitive understanding of what meaning feels like – and how to shape it into something visible.

Eija Kokko
Designer
Eija is a designer and visual artist whose work combines sensitivity, experimentation, and deep narrative thinking. Her diverse background includes jewelry design, art and installations, graphic design, and content creation, with her latest passion being amateur theatre. Nature, humanity, and the layered nature of cultures are constant sources of inspiration in Eija’s work. She is drawn to both small details and the contradictions of the surrounding world – and sometimes even to things not traditionally seen as beautiful. At Vuonelo, she creates forms and meanings deeply infused with emotion.

Jonah Kallio
Designer
Joona is a designer and visual artist who looks at Finland from the outside – and that is why he sees it to its core. Having grown up in Japan, built his career in Finland and currently living in London, Joona understands how unique and sensitive Finnish nature and silence really are. During his almost 30-year career, he has combined the aesthetics and thinking of two cultures – Japan and Finland – into a quiet but powerful visual language. The timelessness and diversity of the North meet the precision and communicative sensitivity of Japan in his work. Joona is driven by the desire to create something new – not just objects, but wholes where form, meaning and emotion merge into one. Vuonelo is a continuation of this path: a new way of shaping silence that is felt.
